Today was my FIRST day at my volunteer day. It was really crazy. We swept inside and outside the gym and got yelled at by two people. I guess there was a small misunderstanding with which broom was suppose to be used to sweep the basketball court in the gym. We fixed that problem though. Also my brother was there with me volunteering so I had fun. We spent our time sweeping the sidewalk, and sweeping mats and picking up trash around the park. Overall my day there was easy, nothing like a clean up to give back to the community. I think places like this need all the help they can get because if volunteers don't come in then no one will clean. Luis, the maintenance man, come one or twice a week so what I do really helps out with the overall cleanliness of the center.
